On my bookcase is an ever growing stack of recipes that have caught my eye from websites, blogs and magazines. Sometimes the stars align, the ingredients are on hand and I actually get around to trying one out.
In this stack is a recipe for Chocolate Cream Pie from the Bakin’ and Eggs website that looked too good to be true. Meaning, the directions were simple and it didn’t require anything out of the ordinary.
After one random afternoon in the kitchen, this luscious pie was my reward. Mmm.The recipe is fairly easy and the results as well worth the effort. It’s reminiscent of my favorite pie in the world, Tippin’s French Silk.
Of course, I tweaked it just a little bit and used three different kinds of chocolate I had laying around. In turn it was so rich we could only each a couple pieces, but I’m sure you could find people to take some off your hands.
