2011 can only get better.
New Year’s Eve we had plans to go to dinner at AJs on the Lake with friends that was thwarted by two factors.
Tumultuous weather tore through the South complete with tornadoes, torrential rains and heavy wind just prior to our reservations.
Additionally, I have been battling a severe case of hives since Wednesday. I hadn’t eaten anything out of the ordinary, tried a new product, used a different detergent, taken any medicines, been particularly stressed or rolled around with a herd of cats in a pollinating field of grass.
My Friday off of work was spent in an emergency medical clinic. And approximately $100 dollars and one hour later a very nice physician told me it is nearly impossible to determine how this was contracted. Nice.
I’ve been oscillating between developing hives from my scalp to my feet, and brief moments of relief thanks to steroids. Hives have infiltrated my ears. In, my, ears!!! Dressing up and going out in public was out of the question.
I hope yall had a better evening than what I just described, and hopefully we will make it to AJs on another occasion.

Erin!! I’m so sorry about that! We canceled our dinner plans b/c of the bad weather, so our night was pretty lame too:)
