When I first learned I was moving from Columbia, Missouri to Jackson, Mississippi a number of things blazed across my mind.
Is the South really as hospitable as it’s reputation would suggest? How many Asian people are down there? Exactly how big is football in their culture? Does this mean I could drink sweet tea every single day?!
Among the important questions in life, I did also wonder where I would live, work and what I was getting into. Without having a job previously lined up before arriving, I gave myself a deadline of August 31 to have my website portfolio online. It’s November 12 and I’m not giving you my url. Freelance work is now a necessity.
So, today I set a new deadline of this Friday, November 13 (of all days) which is why I am still up at 1:31 a.m. It’s also the reason I’m posting this photo of me eating the world’s best pizza. It serves as a reminder of better times, Naples, Italy, and food I have yet to write about.
